Every year, world leaders gather at the United Nations General Assembly in New York to seek solutions to some of the humanity’s most pressing problems.

From ongoing conflict to the climate emergency; from humanitarian crises to poverty and hunger; leaders share their ideas and vision for creating a better future for all.

This year, the Transforming Education Summit will seek to address the global crisis in education and ensure all children can exercise their right to learn.

The Summit will provide a unique opportunity to elevate education to the top of the global political agenda and to mobilize action, ambition, solidarity and solutions.

A special SDG Moment will put a spotlight on efforts to achieve the 17 Global Goals by 2030. The event will showcase the bold actions and solutions that are needed to ensure a sustainable future for all.

World leaders will be joined by influencers including BLACKPINK, Amanda Gorman, Priyanka Chopr, and more to show their support for the Goals.

Many other important discussions will also take place in and around UN Headquarters throughout the high-level week. From preventing famine to ending the COVID-19 pandemic and eliminating nuclear weapons — the General Assembly agenda will tackle serious challenges facing people around the world.

While these events and more are unfolding in New York, people everywhere are invited to be part of the action through social media.
