Health issues will also take centre stage on Wednesday, with a High-level Meeting on the Fight Against Tuberculosis on the General Assembly calendar.

An event dubbed the “Road to Marrakech” is also on the schedule for Wednesday. It’s taking place ahead of December’s Intergovernmental Conference in Morocco and aims to build momentum for the negotiations leading to the adoption of a Global Compact for Migration.

In the evening, the ‘One Planet’ Summit on Climate Change is planned. The meeting is meant to accelerate the implementation of the Paris agreement and engage public and private actors in the race against global warming.
