On Sunday, the Office of the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General issued a statement on the following:

Professor Åke Sellström transmitted the report of the United Nations Mission to Investigate Allegations of the Use of Chemical Weapons in the Syrian Arab Republic to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Sunday.  The Secretary-General will provide the report to Member States on Monday.

The Secretary-General is expected to speak to the press on Monday morning after his briefing to the Security Council.

The text of the report will be made available tomorrow morning on the website of the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs.

On Saturday, the Secretary-General received Syria’s formal accession to the treaty banning chemical weapons.
