New UN Television venture reaches out to audiences in China
The United Nations Department of Public Information, in partnership with China Business Network (CBN), is proud to launch a Chinese version of the UN’s award-winning TV news-magazine series 21st Century.
The 26-minute monthly programme will be presented by CBN anchor Ms. Liu Ye and will air on Ningxia Satellite TV on the 4th Saturday of each month debuting on 27 April 2013. Ningxia Satellite TV reaches more than 600 million viewers in China.
21st Century travels to and reports from all corners of the globe, sharing the world’s stories through compelling and unforgettable reports on global development, resources, people’s livelihoods, environmental protection and climate change, among other topics.
The series is now available in English, French and Chinese and seen throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. This collaboration serves as a framework for future co-productions of 21st Century in other languages.
