Our World Intellectual Property Organisation colleagues spoke with famous Cameroonian choreographer Elisa Mballa about boosting the economy and creating jobs.
The term “restavek” in Haitian Creole means literally “to stay with” and is considered to be one of the worst names to be called in Haitian society. As explained in this International Labour Organisation (@ILONEWS) video, originally conceived as a system to send children to live with wealthier relatives, it has become a form of domestic trafficking and modern-day slavery.
And, last but not least, our social media team and other colleagues who work on UN publications and communications products had a special visit from new Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson.
